How much does 3D printing cost in Nairobi?
The price of a 3D print depends on the material it uses and how long it takes to print. The examples below come from Tomo's pricing engine, and you can see the exact price for your own file before you pay.

Your own model may be cheaper or dearer: the price depends on its exact size and shape, which is why Tomo slices the real file rather than estimating from a photo or dimensions.
What decides the price
Material used. Measured in grams after slicing, including any supports the print needs.
Print time. Longer prints use more machine time. Larger, taller or more detailed models take longer.
Settings you choose. Quality, strength (walls and infill), number of copies and optional support removal all change the time and material, and the price updates as you change them.
Plates. Very large orders may be split across several print plates; each extra plate adds a small handling cost.
PLA and PETG currently cost the same per gram at Tomo.

How to get an exact price
Upload an STL or 3MF (up to 100 MB), choose the material and colour, and Tomo shows the exact print price, print time and estimated ready date, usually within a few minutes depending on the model’s size and complexity. There is no waiting for a manual quote on WhatsApp, and you pay by M-Pesa or card only when you’re happy.
No file yet? Download a model from a site such as Printables or Thingiverse, or ask a designer for an STL. Tomo prints files you have the right to use.
