3D printing FAQ
Straight answers about ordering a 3D print from Tomo in Nairobi.
What files can I print?
STL and 3MF files up to 100 MB. The part must fit a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. You must have the right to use the model.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the material and print time. For example, a 33 g phone stand costs about KSh 640 to print. Upload your file to see the exact price before paying. Delivery is priced separately by distance.
Do I have to wait for a quote?
No manual quote is needed. Tomo slices your file on its server and shows the exact price, usually within a few minutes depending on the model.
Which materials do you print?
PLA and PETG, in the colours shown as available when you configure your print. PLA suits most objects; PETG is tougher and more heat-tolerant.
How do I pay?
By M-Pesa or card, through Paystack. Your print starts only after the payment is verified.
How long does it take?
Next-day is the normal promise. Large prints or a busy queue can move the date, and you see the expected ready date before you pay.
Where do you deliver?
Within our Nairobi delivery area, to the exact point you pin on the map. The delivery price is shown before you pay.
What if my print is wrong?
If Tomo prints, finishes or handles it incorrectly, we reprint it at no charge, or refund it if a reprint isn’t practical.
